I have to say, I agree with the original diction and tone of the deleted post. I wish you'd leave it up; but I'm safely on the other side of the Pacific, and not looking at dealing with US Customs/Immigration/DHS for a few months.
Yeah, it's sickening that we've got US citizens who are now afraid of Cheney/Rove's undeniable secret prisons, not-so-secret positions on torture, and willingness to abuse any American principle to their own ends.

I wonder what the admin. wants to "cover" by forcing this into the news right now. What does this blot out? The high # of soldier fatalities in June? "Change the topic, change the topic..."
Well, the truth is, as much I as believe Bush should go fuck himself, I'm afraid that I could lose a job because I put it right in the title of a post.
You're right. I'm a pussy, and I hate that I even have to feel worried about this sort of thing in America, in 2007. Mostly, I hate myself for feeling like I need to worry about providing for my family more than using my freedoms of speech and expression.
What pants party said, though I worry about the privacy of even private posts. And posting privately is still showing the power of fear. (Fear is not an unreasonable reaction to chimp-rule.) But I did like yesterday's post a lot.
There's no such thing as a private post--if it's out there, it's out there. Lesson-learned-well when I had a stalker. I mean a real-life stalker who, through knowing facts about my life, hacked into my LJ (my whole blog was private as I used it primarily as a DIARY). From that experience (involving a police detective), I learned anything is available to whomever really wants to get it. It's frighteningly easy, as I was shown. : (
You are wise to put your family first. That's not being a pussy. Being a pussy would have been not having the courage to have published it in the first place.

I actually posted that. Honestly, there was a second sentence in my comment that read roughly "and by terrorists I mean the Bush administration" and it's just.....gone. Weird.
And Wil, I can understand dude. your more high profile than I am so I don't really care what I say at the moment. But I'm guessing the vox is much lower profile than say wwdn and suicide girls, so you might have gotten away with it. I'm just pissed I didn't get here before you deleted the post ;)
