looks like twitter is a victim of its own success

The sheer # of people who document every fing thing they do or think, "Just ate a piece of toast. It was dry..." don't help. I used to follow more people but dumped everyone who abused their tweeting privileges. What's worse, some people are so fascinated in themselves that they x-post their tweets to an external blog. If scores of people I like/ know do it, surely that means thousands are doing it.
I think that the whole win my xbox360/iphone thing doesn't help either. Granted, I did want to win them :)
Well, at least it's a better error message than Tribe's "Donut freak out" page.
@wilw i laughed at that screen yesterday. lesson: twitter moderation. your tweet rate is fine but i've know ppl who send 100's of tweets/day (that's right @dacort, i'm looking at you).
I'm so sick of seeing people complain about Twitter. It's free. When you pay for it, THEN you can bitch.

I think the meta-games don't help either. The TWiT guys are all trying to out-follower each other, and I think there was some contest or bet involved. I enjoy the podcast, but lately they've spent too much airtime on Twitter.

Now, if we could get Wil out to Indy GenCon and tweet the show, we could make the universe explode. :-)

I'm not complaining about it. I LOVE Twitter, and I've sent Tweets in the past pointing out essentially what you said . . . without being a jerk about it.
Yes, I know you love Twitter, I follow you. :) I don't know what happened, but what you see wasn't my full comment. It somehow lost the part where I commiserated and was glad you weren't being negative over the downtime. VOX must have chopped it off or something. Sorry about that. I guess I have to start checking to make sure my comment correctly posted.
No worries, Tiff. Twitter FTW!
