Introducing Senator Tom Coburn (R - 4th Grade)
The Senate is set to take a vote next week, which will likely result in the body declaring No Confidence in Alberto Gonzales, the guy behind "Geneva conventions against torture? Dude, that's totally 'quaint' and lame. Warrants for wiretaps and spying on Americans? Come on, that is so last century." And my personal favorite, "I do not recall" working real hard with Karl Rove to make the Justice Department a fully functional arm of the Republican party, and the public interest and Democracy can go screw itself.
I think i's awesome that the Senate is catching up to the rest of the country. It's a bit late, and this sort of thing probably could have been a little better when they were tripping over themselves to confirm Gonzales as Attorney General, but that's okay, I know you're busy presenting some non-binding resolutions and stuff.
But check this out: not all the Senators are very happy about the upper house of Congress doing anything that might question the divinity of Dear Leader King George The Greatest President Ever Who is Like So Totally Awesome And Kind of Like Jesus, including Senator Tom Colburn, (R - 4th Grade) who has said he'll add the following amendment to the No Confidence vote:
No Confidence.--It is the sense of the Senate that Congress neither has the will nor the desire to cut frivolous, excessive, or wasteful spending and therefore the American people should have no confidence in the ability of Congress or its members to balance the budget or protect the long term financial solvency of Social Security, Medicare, or the Nation itself.
Yeah! Take that Congress! Tom Coburn was totally going to invite you to his birthday party at Pizza World, but now he's totally not. Nyahh!

"ANN COULTER- FREE!"
Wil, don't you want her articles via email? ;)
Anne Coulter is a fucking harpy bitch from hell, and deserves to die in a fire for what she said about the 9/11 widows.
(Sorry -- it's the fourth grade ambiance that does it.)
Yeah. I can't understand why she's still turning up spouting garbage.
Is there anyone who is interested in hearing it?
He's a brilliant man, Senator Coburn, focusing on "pork projects" as his issue of choice when the President, of his own party, has blown more money on no-bid contracts and a war we didn't have to fight than any Democrat could dream of.
Here's an interesting article about him, if you're interested. I particularly like how he says he believes in the sanctity of all life while at the same time he says that he supports the death penalty for abortion doctors. What a freak.
